Due to the lanes' narrow width,  heavy-commercial traffic is prohibited from crossing; northbound shipments reach their "termini-point" in downtown Isleton.  Caltrans recommends that all commercial traffic avoid State Route 160 north of Isleton, and use State Route 12 east to Interstate 5 north instead.
