From 2000 until 2002,
CALROG.COM independently reported news from the PC industry. The objective was to
perform longitudinal studies on popular-trends within the industry (e.g.,
processor, memory and operating system improvements), and expose the public
with lesser-known alternatives the industry had to offer. Throughout
the two-and-a-half years' study, some articles were written in
conjecture. To minimise slant as much as possible, some articles have
been edited to maximise objectivity. So, if you're interested in what
the PC industry was producing between '00 and '02, feel free to use the
search engine below (...by entering any PC "buzzword"* you'd
wish). However, if you're looking for modern news in the PC
industry, please check out those excellent third-party sites listed in the
right-hand pane!
*Some examples of PC
"buzzwords" include, but are not limited to: CPU,
processor, Pentium, RAM, Rambus, Back to World Maps, Win2K, Linux, Unix, GeForce, ATI,
etc.
(To ensure search-engine results are relevant to computer technology,
make sure to use terminology which is commonly used in the computer industry.)
