In the mid-1900s, Federal Route 99 spread from Calexico, CA to Bellingham, Washington State.
However the route later became decommissioned, in favour of Interstate
projects. Interestingly, the Oregon Derpartment of Transportation (ODOT)
has forgotten to remove and/or decommission some Federal Route 99 shields from OR-99. In Rogue River
