Avenida Caracas is widely considered the backbone of international trade in Bogota.  By connecting city centre to the northern skyscrapers, the road is outfitted with many accomodations including dedicated bus lanes, wide sidewalks, and ample lanes for general traffic including taxis and private automobiles.
