The Inner Ring Road wraps all the downtown communities of Shanghai into drivable reach.  The two major highways it intersects are the North-South (N-S) Elevated Road and the Yan-an (E-W) Elevated Road.  Another notable exit off of the Inner Ring Road is the Humin Elevated Road, which spurs into the southwest regions of Shanghai downtown.
