Just south of Rocky Canyon Road, State Route 229 narrows and loses its dividing
yellow-line. The road retains its two-way traffic design, however
motorists must yield to oncoming traffic. Speed has to be drastically
compromised, as sharp curves on hillsides become commonplace.
