Alt. Federal Route 89 provides motorists with entry into the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. The route has an arbitrary terminus just a few miles north of Fredonia, AZ. In contrast to popular belief, the route does not enter nor is officially recognised by the state of Utah. Instead, the Beehive State uses "to Federal Route 89A" markers to and from the stateline.
